I used to wonder about the build quality and durability compared to the Yanagisawas but after owning them for many years and never running into a problem. More on a budget this horn is great and you can save the extra $$$! Why am I selling a horn I rave about? Because I also have the Antigua 590 soprano with the high G and decided I don’t need both horns. If you’re looking for a great soprano on a budget. It is a very striking look and should look this good for a very long time. It’s much harder than lacquer and resists scratching and flaking. All the way up to the high F# The Black Nickel finish is amazing. I even sold my purple logo 62 after picking this up because I liked the Antigua more! I would describe the tone as warm and light. They are at least 95% as good as the Yanagisawas for 1/3 the price! This was my main soprano for many years for both jazz work and classical quartets.
